Walgreen's robbed, house hit with gun blast

Early Thursday morning Elk Grove police reported two cases of armed violence.

At 3:19 a.m. police responded to a report of multiple gunshots fired at a residence in 8500 block of Brahma Way. There were no injuries, however one shot penetrated an upstairs bedroom.

Minutes later, the 24-hour Walgreen's located at Laguna Blvd. and Bruceville Rd. was robbed. According to police reports, the suspect displayed a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of currency from the cash register. There were no shots fired or injuries.
