Sophia does collect lot$ of jack - 94% of her funds come from out of town

Just call her So Mo Money!

In a press release earlier today, Sophia Scherman crowed that she had raised more money than anyone else, and in her own words "crushed" city council opponent Katherine Maestas.

If this was some sort of Hip Hop East Coast West Coast rivalry thing, Sophia just did a drive-by on Katherine and would be the undisputed top gangsta, for the day anyhow.

Perhaps henceforth we ought to call Sophia So Mo Money!

It does have have nice gangsta ring to it and it does connote her prowess for attracting lots of jack. In the world of Hip Hop today, that's what's all about after all.

Alas, this is a political election for the Elk Grove City Council.

An examination of candidate 460 forms filed with the city clerk of Elk Grove does show that Katherine Maestas did not receive any contributions from businesses or individuals in Elk Grove.

However, those same forms showed that So Mo Money Scherman received $28,295 in contributions with $26,625 coming from outside of Elk Grove!

That's right, So Mo Money Scherman got over 94% of her money from various real estate developers and fast food proprietors (just in time to help all those obese kids!) outside of Elk Grove. Several are even out of Sacramento County.

So while So Mo Money Scherman continues to dis Katherine, just remember in the 'hood of politics, what goes 'round comes 'round, ya dig?
