ELK GROVE ROAD DETOUR ALERT: Weekend Closures at Sheldon/SR 99 Interchange

Weekend work on the Sheldon Interchange will require evening closures on Highway 99 from Sunday, April 26 at 10:30 p.m. to Monday, April 27 at 6 a.m.

Southbound Hwy. 99 will be closed entirely during this timeframe. Rolling closures on Northbound Hwy. 99 will allow drivers to pass intermittently.

Representatives from the California Highway Patrol will direct Northbound Hwy 99 traffic. The Southbound Hwy. 99 traffic will be detoured onto the southbound off ramp then across Sheldon Road to the new southbound on-ramp.

Detour signs have been placed to notify drivers about the closure and detours.

The Sheldon Interchange reconstruction project remains on schedule, with completion expected in fall 2009.
