Elk Grove Chrysler-Jeep Avoids Chopping Block

Chrysler-Jeep of Elk Grove will not be one of the 789 dealers closed as part of the Chrysler bankruptcy.

Court documents show the Folsom Lake Chrysler-Jeep located in the Folsom Auto Mall will be closed. All of the affected dealers will officially lose their new car franchises tomorrow.

Meanwhile, GM has not formally announced which dealers it will close as part of its bankruptcy. In the last year, the Ford and Saturn dealerships at the Elk Grove Auto Mall have closed. Currently there two GM dealerships at the mall.
