The Elk Grove Police made two arrests yesterday in two different domestic violence incidents.

The first arrest was at 2:35 when 36-year old Hadrian Lim of Elk Grove was arrested for violating a restraining order. The suspect was transferred to county jail.

The second arrest was at 7:07 last night when 67-year old Jim Rose was involved in a verbal argument when he allegedly threw a rolled-up magazine that struck the victim in the shoulder. After the victim called police, Rose left the house.

When Rose returned to the scene, he was arrested by officers and transferred to the county jail.

A 67 year old man? For a rolled up magazine?? In the shoulder? Jail? Let's give E.G. Police a little more to do. Ladies, let's stop using law enforcement to make up for your dysfunctions and deficiencies. Get counseling.

The above statement must be from a man who abuses women.

No amount of counseling by a woman is going to stop an abusive spouse from escalating once they've taken the first step towards abusive behavior. A 67 year old man behaving like a 6 year old and through things when he is angry???? Will he through a skillet or swing a baseball bat next time?

Violence against men or women is unacceptable, but did he need to be taken to jail? That seems a little excessive. I would imagine a warning mmay have opened his eyes to the potential for going to jail.

Isn't Jim Rose a police officer for the Elk Grove School Police? He should know better.
