Elk Grove Police arrested two Sacramento youths early Friday morning after one of them attempted to pry open a window and enter a house.

According to police reports, a 13 year old male juvenile from Sacramento repeatedly rang the door bell at a residence on the 8800 block of Mannington Street but the occupdant did not answer the door. The occupant saw the juvenile attempting to pry open a window with a crow bar through a peep hole.


The juvenile subsequently broke the window but did not enter the house. The juvenile fled and was seen getting into a 1990 Buick Le Sabre driven by 18-year old Dominick Franklin of Sacramento.

Officer located the vehicle on Di Lusso Drive and detained both suspects. The resident of the house positively identified the juvenile as the person who attempted entry.

Officer also determined the vehicle was an unreported stolen car. Franklin was transferred to the county jail and the juvenile was taken to juvenile hall.
