A store employee was threatened with a knife by a shoplifter yesterday afternoon at the Long's Drug Store on the corner of Elk Grove Boulevard and Waterman Road.

According to police reports, an unknown while male suspect in his 20's entered the store and took several items without paying and fled the store. The suspect entered a black Isuzu in the parking lot occupied by two other while males, also in their 20's.

A store employee followed the suspect out of the store and confronted the suspect. The suspect then reportedly brandished a knife at the employee.

The alleged shoplifter was last seen wearing wearing shorts and a black shirt. There were no further description on the two accomplices.

Police arrest senior citizen on domestic violence charges


In other crime related activity, police arrested a 76 year Elk Grove old man in a domestic violence incident.

According to police reports, suspect William Hunting was involved in a verbal arguement that became physical. The suspect allegedly grabbed the victim by the hair, threw her to the floor and proceeded to punch her several times in the face.

Hunting was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
