An Elk Grove man was arrested late last night after he allegedly attacked and robbed a female victim in a parking lot.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, 19-year old Yeshua Mays confronted his victim in the parking lot in the 10000 block of Bruceville Road and demanded the victims cell phone. When the victim refused, Mays reportedly punched the victim in the face several times and took her cell phone and car keys and drove away in the victim’s car.

Responding officers located the car several blocks away and located Mays a short distance away from the car and was in possession of the cell phone. The victim positively identified Mays as the suspect.

Mays was arrested and transferred to the county jail.

Skateboarder attacked, robbed a short distance away

Just hours before and about a quarter mile away for the above incident, a 16-year old male was attacked and robbed near Franklin High Road and Whitelock Parkway.

According to police reports, the teenager was riding his skateboard when he was approached by two black male juveniles wearing dark clothing. One of the suspects punched the victim in the neck knocking him to the ground.

The suspects took the victims skateboard ad his cell phone and fled on foot. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspects.
