Single Vehicle Fatal Accident Under Investigation By Elk Grove Police

On November 8, 2009 at 1:32 a.m., the Elk Grove Police Department responded to a call regarding a single vehicle collision at Shana Way and Whitelock Parkway .

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a white Chrysler PT Cruiser had collided with several trees. Medical personnel and officers located a semi-conscious unidentified 19-year-old male inside the vehicle. The unidentified driver was the only occupant inside the vehicle, and had to be extracted by emergency personnel.

The driver was transported to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries. At 5:42 a.m., the driver of the PT Cruiser died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the collision. Identification of the driver will be made by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
