SMUD Issues Power Line Warning

As the Sacramento area is being pummeled by strong wind gusts, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) is urging customers to avoid potentially dead situations caused by fallen power lines or tress coming in contact with power lines.

For the Elk Grove community, rural areas on the city’s east side, where overhead lines are more common, are especially prone to downed lines.
