Elk Grove Police Nab Carjacker

Elk Grove Police arrested a Modesto man late Wednesday on suspicion of carjacking.

According to police reports, officers found 25-year-old 👀 asleep inside a vehicle at the Grantline Road off-ramp. A records check revealed that the vehicle had been stolen as part of a carjacking in Ripon, Calif.

Officers woke up the suspect, and he was arrested without incident and transferred to the county jail.

In other activity, two female suspects were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at the Kohl’s store on Bruceville Road.
