Elk Grove Youth in Custody for Attacking Parents

A 17-year old Elk Grove male was placed in custody yesterday afternoon following a physical attack on his parents.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, the juvenile suspect was involved in a verbal argument with his parents when he pushed his mother on her shoulder caused her to fall backwards. The suspect then grabbed a knife and swung it at his father.

The knife did not make contact and when the suspect dropped his knife, the father physically restrained him until police officers arrived. The suspect was taken into custody and transferred to juvenile hall.
