As previously reported, Elk Grove City Council member Gary Davis sought to have a discussion about removing the Cosumnes River Floodplain from the city's SOI on the agenda for the next meeting.

Here is a video of those proceedings from the March 10, 2010 city council meeting.

Where was Gary on this before the election year? Now that he has a strong opponent talking about running against him all of a sudden he is pandering to voters with his concern on this issue.

James is playing secret, secret, I've got a secret. There is no strong opponent against Davis. All smoke and mirrors James, unless you are afraid you won't be reelected.

Once again "James" you've failed to do your homework and attempt to rewrite history.

Reported in the Bee, 8/16/08:

"The mayor of Elk Grove said Thursday he is now "open to the idea" of dropping a 100-year floodplain from the city's expansion bid.

"At this point, I'm very open to the idea of amending our application (to the Sacramento Local Agency Formation Commission) to excluding that floodplain," Mayor Gary Davis told The Bee."

Bee Editorial, 8/19/08:

"Last week, Mayor Gary Davis said he was open to dropping the floodplain from the city's expansion bid."

Councilmember Davis has reiterated this same statement at previous communities meetings when questioned about the SOI.

Perhaps you missed while you were cleaning your fingernails. Open the window, let the smoke clear and look in the mirror.

Pat Hume is supposedly my council representatve. I have sent him numerous emails asking a variety of questions and for help with one matter I was having with the City...he never, ever responded to a even one of them. If you want these "servants" to listen tell them this: "WE WILL VOTE YOU ALL OUT OF OFFICE AT THE FIRST OPPORTUNITY IF YOU DO NOT HEAR THE VOICE OF THE PEOPLE!!!!!"
