Assembly Member Niello Endorses Scott Jones in Bid Against Cooper for Sacramento County Sheriff

Assembly Member Roger Niello recently announced his support for Scott Jones for Sacramento County Sheriff. Jones is running against Jim Cooper and Bret Daniels to replace current Sheriff John McGinness who is not seeking reelection.

“Scott Jones has the experience, integrity and leadership skills to be Sacramento’s next county sheriff,” Niello said. “Scott’s determination and commitment to improving Sacramento County is needed during these tough economic times.”

Roger Niello was elected to the California State Assembly in 2004 where he has served on several committees including the Joint Committee on Emergency Services and Homeland Security. Prior to serving in the legislature, Niello served as a member of the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors.
