A city wide joint-sting operation conducted by the Alcoholic Beverage Control and Elk Grove Police on Friday night resulted in two arrests.

In the first incident, a decoy successfully purchased alcohol from the Save-N-Pak Liquor Store located at 9032 Elk Grove Boulevard. A clerk for the store, 70 year old Gurdeve Rate of Elk Grove was arrested and issued a misdemeanor citation.

In the other incident, police arrested 24-year old Michael Robinson of Elk Grove after a decoy got him to purchase alcohol on their behalf. After being arrested, it was discovered Robinson had several outstanding warrants. Robinson was transferred to the county jail.
