Gunshots Fired at Elk Grove House Party

Elk Grove Police report gunshots were fired at a house party late Friday night.

According to police reports, officer responded to calls of gunshots being heard on the 6100 block of Demonte Way late Friday night. Upon arrival, officer discovered that a birthday party was being held when uninvited guests arrived.

A fist fight took place outside the residence between guests and the uninvited individuals which resulted in bottle being thrown. During the course of the fight, unidentified individual displayed a handgun and fired three shots in the air.

After firing the gun, the suspect fled on foot. The suspect was described as an Asian male wearing dark clothing.

Officer recovered three shell casings and located a bullet hole in the front of the residence. There were no injuries resulting from the gunshots.
