The City of Elk Grove is in the process of reviewing the City's Zoning regulations and considering a series of targeted amendments. These regulations are contained in Title 23 of the City's Municipal Code and are often referred to as the Zoning Code.
Staff is currently drafting the amendments. The drafting and review of the amendments requires more time than originally anticipated. In response, the next public outreach meetings have been pushed back and are now tentatively scheduled for May 24, 2010 and June 7, 2010. Staff will send out additional public notice prior to the meetings.
Residents, businesses, development stakeholders, and other interested persons are encouraged to attend the public outreach meetings, learn about the project, and share their thoughts. The meetings will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Elk Grove City Council Chambers, located at 8400 Laguna Palms Way, Elk Grove. The meetings are open to the general public.
More information about the project can be found on the City of Elk Grove Planning Department's website, including an online version of the Zoning Code, at www.egplanning.org.
