Organizing an Elk Grove Voter Initiative Limiting SOI

Earlier today there were three comments written on our post about the efforts of people in Sutter Creek to overturn a major development approved by their city council. While nearly every comment posted by the readers of EGN is thoughtful and insightful (we have smart readers, what can we say!) these particular comments actually asked how to start a process like the people in Sutter Creek did.

To that end, we communicated directly to one of our readers that we would post something to direct those interested in this to the comments so they might use EGN as a starting point to organize their efforts.

As an initial step, perhaps it would be instructive to those who are interested in forming a organization to read the initial comments. Here is a link to those comments. We hope this helps those who are interested in organizing a group to place the question about the SOI on the ballot.
