Captain to Sheriff - Both Candidates Appear Headed to November Run-Off

If current trends continue, the heated race for Sacramento County Sheriff between Jim Cooper and Scott Jones will continue for five more months.

With more than half of precincts counted, Jones has 46% to Cooper's 41%. Brett Daniels, who will have effectively forced the run-off, currently has 13%.

It looks like the two Sacramento Sheriff's Department Captain's will have five more months of campaigning, back-slapping, and, most importantly, fund raising.
