An Elk Grove man was injured in a stabbing attacking early Saturday morning.

According to Elk Grove Police Reports, the victim was at his home on the 9500 block of Sara Street when he was confronted by 24-year old William Miller of Elk Grove who is an acquaintance. Miller allegedly struck his male victim several times with a closed fist then stabbed him with a knife in the neck. Prior to the arrival of officers, Miller had fled the area.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Officer later arrested the suspect at his house and was transferred to the county jail. Police recovered the weapon used in the stabbing.
