Elk Grove Police Arrest Local Forger

Elk Grove Police arrested an Elk Grove man yesterday on charges of forgery and petty theft.

Accorrding to police reports, officers contacted 18-year old Marcquis Simpson on the 10300 block of Nick Way regarding his involvement in a stolen check and forgery incident. A records check reveiled  that Simpson also had an active warrant out for his arrest. 

Based on information obtained during their investigation, officers arrested Simpson on suspicion of petty theft, forgery and the outstanding warrant.

Simpson was transferred to the county jail.
