Elk Grove City Council Member Pat Hume was accused of being a bully during the Wednesday, May 26 regular meeting. Another person cited Hume's menacing comments made one year earlier to a constituent during a meeting.
Were those comments in 2009 menacing? Is Hume a bully?

No, he's not a bully. Now might be a good time to let the past sleep.
Mr. Stark, I couldn't agree with you more and keep waiting for Mr. Hume to come forward and be totally honest with the community about mistakes he has made and how he intends to correct or change that behavior in the future. I, for one, cannot accept continued lies and deceit. IMO, the first step is his willingness to accept responsibility. At that time maybe we can find it in our hearts to "let the past sleep". Otherwise I just see it getting uglier. Sometimes it's best to try to slow the train down before it picks up speed and derails! JMO
Anyone notice how he slammed down his water bottle as he left the dais??? VOTE HUME OUT ASAP ! ! ! !
It his rich self entitled attitude that comes across a bullying.
Elk Grove is becoming a joke of a city and probably should have stayed unincorporated.
Josie - for a moment I thought you were describing Ms. Scherman. I believe Pat, at the end of the day, and when all is said and done... loves this city and believes he is doing what is best for it. I don't fully agree with the direction he has attempted to go regarding the SOI nor do I support all his ideas - but... I don't believe him to be a bully and I do believe him to be a man whom I can trust. Now... Ms. Scherman, on the other hand, and Mr. Cooper... those two are the folks you should be leery of and work toward replacing. That is just my opinion, of course.. but an opinion based on experience with them both.
Actually, Mr. Stark, I believe you're right; it could also apply to Ms. Scherman. Also JMO!
If nothing else, it looks as though the councilman has a bit of a temper. Anger control issues perhaps.
I am not sure what to make of "I'm going to lose my mind." One could take it to mean 'lose my mind' and beat on something, or someone.
