Elk Grove Police arrested two men that are suspected of an armed robbery that took place earlier this month.

Following an investigation of an armed robbery that took place on July 3, police identified 31-year old Malachite Stone of Sacramento and 18 year old Desmond Sear as suspects. In the July 3 incident, the two suspects allegedly robbed a 49-year old female and 11-year old male at gunpoint inside their residence on the 10200 block of Stockmen Way at 4:20 p.m.

The suspects made threats to harm the victims and one of the suspects fired a shot was towards the ground. The suspects stole cash and fled the area on foot.

Desmond was arrested on the 9600 block of Apple Mill Drive and Malachite was arrested in Sacramento with the assistance of the Sacramento Police Department. Both suspects were transferred to the county jail.
