Poll Finds Family Favored over Fireworks, Food For Fourth

Families do come first in America – at least when it comes to favored 4th of July activities according to a recently conducted poll.

According to a poll conducted by StrategyOne between June 25 and 27, more than 41% of respondents answered spending time with family was by far the favored activity when asked what they were most looking to this 4th of July.

The poll questioned 1,050 people who said spending time with family was by far the activity of choice this holiday weekend.

Family significantly out-polled other possibilities including:

• 14 % who most look forward to nice weather
• 13% who look forward to spending time with friends
• 12% fireworks
• 11% extra day off work
•  8% the food I will cook or eat
•  1% a parade
