Elk Grove Police officers arrested a Sacramento woman early Tuesday afternoon after what appears to be a physical altercation following a road rage incident.

According to police reports, officers responded to a call at the Elk Grove Boulevard off-ramp to Highway 99 south regarding a reported physical altercation between two women. Responding officers located the two individuals a short distance away from their vehicles.

The victim indicated that 22-year old Shakeia Rodgers of Sacramento had brandished a box cutter in a threatening manner and sprayed pepper spray in the victim’s cars. A record check of Rodgers indicated she was on a searchable probation.

A search revealed Rodgers was in possession of a box cutter and pepper spray. The suspect was arrested and transferred to the county jail.

Elk Grove Police Officer Christopher Trim said “there was some type of aggressive driving taking place on Highway 99 that precipitated the physical altercation.” No further information on those particular events was available.
