Elk Grove Man Arrested for Hit and Run, DUI

An Elk Grove Man was arrested last night on suspicion of drunk driving and fleeing the scene of an accident.

According to police reports a witness called police after they witnessed 23-year old Mohamed Khan driving erratically and pull into a parking lot on the 4900 block of Elk Grove Boulevard. Witnesses said they saw Khan stagger from his car and enter a nearby store.

Upon contact with police officers, Khan reportedly displayed signs of impairment. Officers also determined that the suspect had been involved in an accident and had fled the scene. Khan was arrested and transferred to the county jail.

In other activity, police also arrested 48-year old Brian Jones of Sacramento following a traffic stop for an outstanding warrant.
