Attempted Robbery, Attack at Elk Grove ATM

A person making a deposit at an Elk Grove ATM  was attacked on Sunday night.

According to Elk Grove Police Department reports, the victim was attempting to make a deposit at the Bank of America ATM on the 5000 of Laguna Boulevard on Sunday night when a person ran up and tried grabbing the deposit. The male victim was able to retain the deposit and the suspect, 30-year old Jeremy Kekahuna of Elk Grove, began throwing punches at the victim and another person accompanying him.

An Elk Grove Police officer pulled up as the robbery and assault were taking place and the suspect fled on foot towards Franklin Boulevard. Responding officers were able to locate Kekahuna and take him into custody with incident. The suspect was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
