Today's mailer of the day comes from "The Family, Faith & Freedom Association."
As the name implies, propositions and candidates are those that are "deeply concerned about protecting our families (anti-gay), our faith (anti any non-fundamentalist Christian religion) and our freedom." (anti-immigration.)
On the front we find a couple propositions and a few of Republicans running for state-wide constitutional offices.
On the back we find "The Values Voters Voter Guide."
Located on the top left is none other that Elk Grove City Council incumbent Pat Hume. While last week Hume was pimping himself as a "Democrat," this week he has shifted gears and is now claiming to be part of family-values crowd.

We find this mailer to be amusing and ironic given the number of "values" oriented problems Hume has encountered this year from recently being shouted down for his drunk driving conviction at the Elk Grove Citizen's candidate forum to his tawdry legal proceedings against a former love interest.
Speaking of love interests, how about the fact that Hume's current significant other is the former wife of a trusted friend, political patron and fellow Elk Grove Rotarian. Isn't there something in the Rotary's Four Way test asking if something is it fair to all concerned and will it build goodwill and better friendships? Where I come from, taking up relations with your buds girlfriend just ain't kosher.
Well at least it built better friendships between two of the three involved, and as we all know, two out of three ain't bad!
