Armed robber attempts hold up of Elk Grove Wal Mart

An armed robber attempted to hold up the The Elk Grove Wal Mart late Friday night. 

According to Elk Grove Police Department reports, the unknown suspect entered the store's customer service area and handed a note to an employee demanding money. The suspect then displayed a small handgun and demanded that customers not move.

After the store employees were unable to open the cash register the suspect fled the store. The suspect possibly fled in a small gray or gold Honda, The suspect is described as as a white male in his 20's,  5’9”, skinny build, wearing a red cap, gray hooded sweatshirt with jeans and white tennis shoes.
