Hume's lead widens in District 2 race

In the hotly contested race for the District 2 seat of the Elk Grove City Council, incumbent Pat Hume has widened his lead over challengers George Murphey and Davies Ononiwu.

With 73 of 105 precincts reporting, Hume has 7,538 votes, or 44.28 percent to Murphey's 6,059 votes, or 35.59 percent. Ononiwu has captured 3,371 votes or 19.80 percent.
