EGPD makes six early Sunday morning DUI arrests

Elk Grove Police made six different DUI arrests early Sunday morning, one of which led to the discovery of stolen handgun.

According to police department reports, officers stopped 19-year old Mihhhoang Pham of Elk Grove for a vehcile code violation near Sheldon Road and Lewis Stein Road. After the suspect displayed objective signs of intoxication, a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded gun.

A records check revealed the gun had been reported stolen. Phan was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
