In a weekend where Elk Grove Police made several DUI arrests, a Saturday afternoon incident stands out.
According to police reports, 19-year old Nicolette Cerniglia of Elk Grove was driving an electric golf car in the dark on the sidewalk near Elk Grove Boulevard and Franklin Boulevard. Officers initiated an enforcement stop and contacted the suspect.
Upon contact, the suspect displayed objective signs of impairment, failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.
