The Elk Grove Western Festival opening night, the so-called 'Suicide Night' was marred by a large fight that occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m last night.

According to reports, police officers from Elk Grove and the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to disperse the crowd. There was one arrest made for public intoxication.

According to several witnesses, the fight appeared to have been between two rival street gangs - the Surenos and Nortenos. However police reports indicate there were no gang involvement in the fights.
