W. Stockton Blvd. Road Closure Scheduled for June 26

The City of Elk Grove will be closing West Stockton Blvd. between Laguna Springs Drive and north of Laguna Palms Way for road maintenance on Sunday, June 26. The one-day closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As part of the city’s pavement management program, crews will be applying a pavement preservation treatment to extend the life of the asphalt. The application will prevent water from seeping under the pavement, which can rapidly deteriorate a road.

Motorists are urged to not park or drive on the road on Sunday until the project is complete. Detours will be clearly marked. Message signs will alert motorists in advance of the road closure before work begins. Residents and businesses in the vicinity have been notified in writing.
