One of the expenditures the Elk Grove City Council approved last week in the fiscal year 2012 budget was $605,000 for the city's economic development department.
So just how is this money going to be spent?
According to information provided by The City of Elk Grove, the $605,400 allocated on economic development will include $305,000 in salaries and benefits for two employees, $150,00 in advertising and $67,500 in payments to the Elk Grove Economic Development Corp. for professional services.
