Second convenience store robbery this month

An Elk Grove convenience store-gas station was robbed early Monday morning.

According to police, the unknown suspect entered the Chevron station located on Grant Line Road at 3:26 Monday morning under the pretense of making a purchase. As the clerk rang up the sale, the suspect brandished a gun and demanded cash from the register.

After the clerk complied with the demands and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect exited the store and ran into the parking lot. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect was described as an Asian male adult, 5’6”, wearing a New York Yankees cap with shoulder length black hair, wearing a dark jacket with blue jeans and was armed with a handgun.
No surveillance photos were released.

On Friday September 9, two men robbed another Elk Grove convenience-gas station.
