An Elk Grove teen adult was arrested early Monday morning following a drive-by shooting.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, officers responded to the the 6700 block of Casto Verde Way regarding a call of shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle leaving the area driven by 19-year-old Rashad Brackeen of Elk Grove. Officers conducted a vehicle stop and detained the occupants.

A consent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of two loaded firearms in the glove box. One of the firearms had been reported stolen out of Gwinett County, Georgia.

Officers also discovered one bullet on the driver’s side floorboard. Officers located a spent shell casing on Castro Verde Way that matched the ammunition that was recovered from the floor board and was in one of the firearms recovered.

Brackeen was arrested and transported to the county jail.
