A 14-year-old Elk Grove male was attacked and robbed late yesterday afternoon.

According to Elk Grove Police Department reports, the victim was riding his skateboard near Moon Lily Way and Wild Orchid Way when a car occupied by five individuals drove by and yelled at him. The driver then parked the car and all of the occupants confronted the victim.

The suspects then demanded that the victim surrender his property and one of the suspects then punched him in the face with a closed fist. The victim fell to the ground, as the other suspects went through his pant pockets.

The suspects fled after a witness came to assist and EGPD was called. Responding officers located one of the suspects at the scene.

During the course of the investigation, officers located three out of the four suspects that fled the scene. One suspect, 18-year old Devon Demas of Elk Grove, was arrested and transported to the main jail.

The three Elk Grove juvenile suspects were taken into custody then transported to juvenile hall. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he was treated then released.
