This month's First Friday will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. The free events will take place in Old Town Elk Grove on Elk Grove Blvd. from Walnut St. to School St. Old Town First Fridays celebrations will offer musical entertainment, art displays, face painting and more.

Went to the First Friday the other night and what a disappointment. Just some street vendors selling jewelry, a dj playing Bee Gee's songs and not much else. The Brickhouse seemed to be the only place worth visiting. Maybe it is just dead on count of the season.
