On April 30, Galt Commuter Express will it s first-ever express routes between Galt, Midtown and Downtown Sacramento.
Buses feature free Wi-Fi, reclining seats, and quick service. The service will also provide reverse trips between Sacramento and Galt to allow Sacramento residents to reach destinations in Galt, such as the Galt Market on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The new service is the first ever direct public transit service between Downtown Sacramento and the City of Galt.

Kudos to Galt for their sensible planning and responsiveness to its residents needs.
As the bully neighbor to the north, Elk Grove continues to serve its own purposes in an uncooperative non-regional way (such as robbing Sac city of jobs, snubbing RT and light rail, pushing for boundary expansion, and gutting their climate action plan). The city of Elk Grove is like one big pothole in the road one must drive around in order to get anywhere.
Too bad the Galt Commuter Express won't be stopping off at our newest economic development establishments referenced in the Mayor's State of the City address--oh well, at least there's plenty of Leatherby's ice cream and Smash Burgers to feed the new State office workers to help pay off their $3.4 million subsidy.
