Two Probationers Arrested Late Sunday Night by EGPD

Search finds drugs, phony money

Elk Grove Police arrested two probationers late Sunday night on the 9300 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers stopped a vehicle being driven by 24-year old Jonathon Martinez of Sacramento for a vehicle code violation. A records check of Martinez and his passenger, 31-year-old Magdalena Gutierrez of Sacramento revealed both were on probation.

A search of Gutierrez led to the discovery of several counterfeit $100 bills and a vehicle search found narcotics. Both were arrested and transferred to the county jail.
