City Announces Plans for 4th of July Fireworks Show 16th Annual Salute to the Red, White & Blue to be held at Elk Grove Regional Park

This year, the City of Elk Grove is hosting the 16th annual Salute to the Red, White & Blue fireworks show at Elk Grove Regional Park. This event is Elk Grove’s premier 4th of July tradition and community‐wide celebration.

The festivities begin at 6 p.m. with live music and food. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and have a picnic or BBQ while enjoying the concert in the park. The event will feature Latin and R&B band Inner Soul on the main stage at Strauss Island.

Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. The firing location based at the Kloss Softball Complex will light up the skies over Elk Grove Regional Park.

Admission is free, and parking is $10 per vehicle. Gates open at 7 a.m. Drivers should enter Elk Grove Regional Park at the Main Gate off Elk Grove-Florin Road. The Elk Grove Police Department will release traffic information prior to the event.

Alcohol, personal fireworks and pets are not permitted (excluding service dogs).

The City of Elk Grove will be running special transit service all day on July 4. All transit service will be free to the public complements of the taxpayers.

Starting at 3 p.m., the Red and Blue line will begin service in town and provide service to the park every 15 minutes. These routes will run continuously until 9 p.m. and will resume service at the conclusion of the event. Service will conclude by 11:30 p.m. For ADA certified passengers, both routes may deviate or travel off route up to ¾ mile to pick up and drop off passengers. Reservations must be made at least 1 day prior to travel by calling 916.683.8726.
