An Elk Grove youth was arrested for a brazen daytime burglary of a car.
According to Elk Grove Police, the 14-year-boy was taken into custody after he was observed using a rock to break into a parked vehicle and steal a purse on the 9300 block of Village Tree Dr. The purse was recovered in nearby bushes and the suspect was found to be in possession of currency that was inside the purse.
After being taken into custody, the youth was taken to juvenile hall.
