Elk Grove Council Member and mayoral candidate Gary Davis will hit the streets this Labor Day weekend with a precinct walk.

Davis, who is in his second term as a Elk Grove City Council member, is hoping to become the city's first directly elected mayor this November. Davis will be facing five other candidates.

"In my experience, there is no better way to have a discussion with voters, and to collectively build a vision for a better Elk Grove, than by going door-to-door," Davis said. "Over the years I have collected dozens of good ideas by listening to Elk Grove residents. Knocking on doors is my favorite part of the campaign."

The walk will commence at 10 a.m. this Saturday at Davis' campaign office located at 8234 laguna Blvd.

So is the walk being sponsored by Papas properties, Gil Moore, or the activist labor unions?

Regarding Gil Moore, why don't you check with Councilman Detrick. He's the one that received in excess of $12,000 for his "campaign warchest" from Gil Moore. When is that sign going up?

Gary Davis seems to be a decent enough person. I would like to see him talk about the issues though.
