With less than two months before the general election, Elk Grove's code enforcement manager Shane Diller sent a letter earlier this week reminding candidates of the city's electioneering sign regulations.

Diller's letter notes there have already been complaints received about signs that have been placed in violations of the city's municipal code. The letter did not specify what candidates have violated the ordinance.

Scherman's signs are more than 11 square feet, aren't they?

They are too big and in some cases too close to the right of way. The question is will she bother to do anything about it and will Code Enforcement cite her if she doesn't?

What about the illegal Jerry Brxmeyer signs all over town?

I haven't seen those. What is wrong with them?

I don't think they violated the size, but rather the height. They appear to have been posted very high up several lightposts.
