Four suspects in unrelated incidents were arrested by Elk Grove Police early Wednesday morning after being stopped for vehicle code violations.

According to police reports, all four arrests were made for code violations and led to two arrests for DUI, an active warrant and one for possession of narcotics and a suspended license.

The two DUI suspects were Elk Grove residents 24-year old Abraham Romero-Espinosa and 30-year old Robert Wood. Also arrested were 29-year old Richard Field of Sacramento after officers discovered there was an active warrant for his arrest and 44-year old Rose Jaquez of Elk Grove who was driving on a suspend license and the discover of narcotics and a digital scale.

Good work EGPD. Just think how many more arrests there would be if the hands free driving laws were enforced. I saw 3 civilians talking on telephones while I was coming and going from the City Hall parking lot this week.
