An Elk Grove teenager was caught tagging a playground late yesterday afternoon.
According to Elk Grove Police, a police officer observed the 17-year old boy defacing a play structure at Batey Park with his Sharpie pen. The would-be artist was detained and the pen was recovered.
The juvenile suspect was issued a misdemeanor citation and his mother was contacted and advised of the situation.

Hopefully the child is assigned some clean up duty by the city besides what the parent may or may not do.
