A 14-year old Elk Grove girl was able to evade a possible kidnapping late yesterday morning.
According to Elk Grove Police, the victim was approached several times in a parking lot on the 3100 block of Dwight Road by 22-year old Rudolf Sun of Elk Grove. After being asked several questions, the suspect threw water on the victim and stole her school books.
Sun then reportedly returned the books but then forcefully took the books back and grabbed her clothing and pulled her towards his car. The victim was able to pull away and fled the area on foot while the suspect fled the area.
Responding officers were able to locate the suspect at a residence and after being positivity identified, was arrested and transferred to the county jail. Sun remains in custody on kidnapping and robbery charges and is ineligible for bail.
