Elk Grove Teen Arrested After Stealing Tip Jar

An Elk Grove teenager was arrested last night after allegedly stealing a tip jar at a local coffee shop.

According to Elk Grove Police, the 15-year old male juvenile and another accomplice rode their bikes through thee drive-thru lane of the Starbucks located on Bond and Elk Grove- Florin and snatched the tip jar that was on the service window. A store employee chased down the suspect who was placed under citizens' arrest.

Responding officers issued the juvenile a misdemeanor citation then released him to his grandmother.
