According to Elk Grove Police, officers were dispatched to the First Baptist Church of Elk Grove on E. Stockton Blvd. shortly after midnight on Thursday following an alarm call. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a window to the location had been broken.

As officers approached the window, they saw 23-year old Brian Oliver inside and he was attempting to exit through the broken window. The suspect was detained without incident and a search of the building and entire campus was conducted and no other suspects were found.

Oliver was arrested and taken to the county jail were he remains in custody on burglary charges and probation violations.
